![]() I always hoped I'd get to be on stage again. I had no idea it would happen NOW of all times, but what a gift "Dreams of Love" is for me. I'm thrilled to play "Mary" in this one act play written by the multi-talented Robert Solomon. "Dreams of Love", follows a young classical pianist with ambitions of being accepted into Juilliard. It is part of the Atlanta Micro-Theatre series and will be performed at the RollCall Theatre located in the Ponce City Market. We've worked with Rollcall Theatre to make adjustments for Covid. We've rehearsed on Zoom, limited the audience size and required mask. If you are in the Atlanta area are are ready to get out to theatre again, please check out the link below with ticket details. Hooray! We've been accepted into the RKDS Film Festival!
I'm so excited to announce that the Down East Flick Fest has selected "The Bright Side of Darkness" to appear in it's film festival that will run September 25 - 27.
This is very special to me because it is right in the heart of "My old stomping grounds" of Greenville, NC -- a place that holds many fond memories for me. Unfortunately, I am on set this weekend and won't be able to attend in person. But I invite anyone in the area to please go see my film along side the many other excellent films that will be part of the festival! Now...where am I going to fit this new Laurel on the poster?! Carl, a pilot I was involved in a couple of years ago, has been picked up for distribution, meaning you'll be able to watch it on TV!
The story revolves around Carl, (a Cybernetic Anthropomorphic Robot Lover) who is sent on a mission through time by Dr. Stoly in an attempt to reverse the tragic events caused by North Korea's nuclear campaign of global domination. I had a blast playing Dr. Cynthia Stoly, creator of the CARL unit and enjoyed my time with the cast and crew enormously. I even got to old a gun. (OK, well a fake gun, but still!) Carl is an edgy but fun story, with a surprising touch of sweetness thrown in. I hope you'll take the chance to watch it! Or follow us on Facebook (Look for "Carl") or Instagram (#CarlShortFilm). I'm thrilled to announce I have been cast in "Final 48", a feature film produced by Seahawk Productions. I will be playing Francesca Graham Spencer.
"Final 48" will be filmed in the Danish Dogma Style and will be directed by Lisa Sanow. Ms. Sanow has previously directed/produced several short film, the latest of which appeared in the international Cannes Film Festival. Also appearing the film are Tim Ross and Walter Duckworth, both actors based in the Southeast. Shooting begins August in Newnan GA. This is truly a dream project for me. I am over the moon to be included in this cast and look forward to working with this talented group! ![]() The Bright Side of Darkness will appear in the Lift-Off Global First-Time Filmmaker On-line Film Festival.
